Two-year-old boy seriously injured after shooting in London

A two-year-old boy was one of four people injured in a shooting in north west London. Detectives are appealing for information after the toddler was seriously injured when a gunman opened fire in a street in Harlesden on Wednesday night.

Officers were called to reports of gun fire on Energen Close at around 9.45pm and arrived to find four people suffering gunshot injuries.

Police say the suspect, who had a handgun, fired multiple shots at two teenage men who were standing in the street, and into a car hitting the two-year-old and his mother.

All four were taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service. The lone gunman is believed to have left the scene on a motorbike.
