Two vehicles have been seized by Greater Manchester Police officers during separate incidents in Eccles and Stockport. In Eccles, a driver of a Volkswagen Golf failed to notice a marked police car behind him when he went through a red light on Barton Lane.
Officers found the driver only had a provisional licence and was subsequently reported before the vehicle was seized. In Stockport, a BMW driver was spotted driving in circles on a retail park near Lancashire Hill.
The driver pulled over by their own accord and underwent a roadside breath test, which he just passed. He was also negative on a DrugWipe test but had no insurance so the vehicle was seized by officers.
According to gov.uk, police can give you a fixed fine of £300 and six penalty points if you are caught driving without insurance.
