Two teenage boys arrested after 'shots fired from blank gun'

Two teenage boys have been arrested for possession of a firearm after gunshots were heard in Bolton. Police were called to reports of gunfire in the Netherton Grove area of Farnworth on Friday evening.

It's thought a group of teenage boys had shot a blank firing weapon. CCTV footage recorded on nearby Cawdor Street appears to capture the sound of the gun being fired. Following the shots witnesses reported a heavy police presence in the area while the police helicopter was also seen overhead.
