Two police cordons in place outside south Manchester homes in 'linked' incident

Two police cordons are in place outside homes in south Manchester today. Tape is in place across part of Astbury Avenue, a cul-de-sac close to Chorlton Water Park.

Officers are stationed on the scene, with plain-clothed detectives spotted carrying out door-to-door enquiries this morning (Monday, November 11).

A property, which is believed to be a house split into a flats, sits behind the police cordon. Pictures show an officer standing guard at the taped off area. Officers have remained on the scene since then, residents said. Another cordon is also in place on Woodlake Avenue, which is around a two-minute drive from Astbury Avenue.
