Two people are in hospital after a car flipped onto its roof in a Scots town.Emergency crews were rushed to smash on Standing Stane Road in Kirkcaldy, Fife, after receiving reports of a two-vehicle crash at 6.35am on Tuesday, August 22.
Medics attended and the drivers of both of the cars, a 25-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man, were raced to hospital. Their current conditions are unknown.
Meanwhile, the man was also issued with a fixed penalty notice in connection with an alleged road traffic offence.The road was closed while recovery took place and reopened at 8am.
Images from the scene show a red vehicle lying overturned and crumpled on the roadside. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.35am on Tuesday, 22 August, 2023, we were called to a report of a two vehicle crash on Standing Stane Road, Kirkcaldy. "The drivers of both vehicles, a 25-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man, were taken to hospital.
