Two more arrests have been made after one man was shot and another was stabbed in Oldham. Officers were called out to the Royal Oldham Hospital at 8.30pm on Wednesday (May 23) after a man attended A&E with gunshot wounds.
Another man suffered knife wounds on Busk Road, in Chadderton, where police also attended. Both injuries have been linked to a 'targeted attack' by Greater Manchester Police.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the incident. One of the suspects, aged 22, remains in hospital for treatment as of this morning (May 25). In a further update issued today, GMP confirmed it has arrested two women - aged 23 and 25 - on suspicion of assisting an offender.
