Two men charged after body of man discovered on Scots street

Two men have been charged after the body of a man was discovered on an Aberdeenshire street. A 52-year-old man's body was found around 9.30pm on Sunday, outside a property in Ives Road, Peterhead.

Emergency services, including the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, were called to the incident.Police said today in a statement the two men, aged 21 and 27, are due to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court tomorrow, February 8.

A third man, aged 22, has been released without charge.Access to and from the street was being controlled by police following the incident.

A blue tent and police tape was seen around the area.The cause of death has not been released, and the deceased's identity is also still to be confirmed by the force.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "On Sunday, February 5, 2023, officers responding to a report of the death of a man on Ives Road, Peterhead, found the body of a man outside an address.“Two men, aged 21 and 27, have been charged in connection with the death.
