Two men have been arrested after an attack and robbery in Rochdale town centre. A man was attacked on St Mary's Gate yesterday (Thursday), police said.
He had cash stolen from him in the incident. Two men - aged 27 and 36 - have now been arrested on suspicion of robbery. They remain in police custody for questioning. A post on the GMP Rochdale Facebook page said: "#ARRESTS I Two men, aged 27 and 36, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after a man was assaulted and had cash stolen on St Mary's Gate, #Rochdale, yesterday.
