The 30-year-old's future at United has been uncertain following the emergence of Dean Henderson, who United showed a great deal of faith in last summer, offering a bumper 5-year deal worth £100,000 per week.
The contract made Henderson the second-highest-paid 'backup' goalkeeper in the Premier League, behind only Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was signed to be Chelsea's long-term replacement for Thibaut Courtois in 2018.
