Two women and two children have died in a devastating house fire in south-east London. Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters raced to the fire at a house on Hamilton Road in Bexleyheath on Thursday, November 18.
Fire crews used ladders to rescue two women and two children from the first floor of the burning building but they died at the scene.
One man managed to escape the blaze and was rushed to hospital, reports the Mirror. An investigation into what caused the inferno has now been launched.London Fire Brigade stated: "Crews in breathing apparatus rescued two women and two children from the first floor using a nine metre ladder.
