Two cars found torched days after 'linked' murder bid of man on Scots street

Two cars thought to be linked to the attempted murder of a man in Edinburgh have been found torched. The 28-year-old victim was discovered injured on West Pilton Terrace after the violent incident occurred at 10.10pm on Thursday January 5.

Paramedics attended the scene and blue-lighted him to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he was treated by hospital staff.His current condition is unknown.

Officers investigating the murder bid are treating the incident as targeted.They are keen to speak to anybody in the area who may have seen the two motors - a dark coloured Volkswagen Golf and a blue Ford Focus ST - at the time of the incident.

The blue Ford Focus ST was discovered burnt out at Fyles Farm, Tranent, two days after the attack on Saturday, January 7. The Volkswagen Golf was also found scorched at Howe Dean Path in the Braidhill areas of the capital on the same day.
