Police have launched a probe after a road crash involving two Transit vans which saw three people rushed to hospital.The Ford vehicles collided on the A737, between Beith and Dalry, on Friday.
The incident between the vehicles - one white and one silver - took place at about 7.40pm. Two men and a woman were rushed to hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries they sustained in the crash.Police Scotland has now appealed to the public for information on the collision, which occurred around a mile south of the Manrahead Roundabout.
The road was closed due to the collision, remaining closed for nearly six hours, being reopened at around 1.30am. The crash was revealed in a post on the force's Ayrshire Police Division Facebook page.
Sergeant Stewart Taylor, of the Road Policing Department, said: “Enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who seen the silver van on the road before the crash took place to contact us. "I would also be keen to obtain any dashcam from drivers on this area of road around the time of the crash on Friday evening.
