Two arrested after man seriously injured during 'disorder' at block of flats

Two men have been arrested after a man was left with serious injuries during a 'disorder' in Rochdale. Police and paramedics were scrambled to a block of flats at The Heath in Middleton to reports of a disorder just after 2pm on Saturday (May 6).

An air ambulance was also called to the scene. A man sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Two men were detained at the scene on suspicion of assault and remain in custody for questioning, a spokesman for GMP said. Following the latest incident, one eye-witness described a man in his 30s with a serious chest injury being wheeled away from the property on a trolley by paramedics.
