Donald Trump is under investigation. The 76-year-old former President of the United States is being investigated by the Justice Department for his involvement in efforts to overturn the 2020 election results, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday (July 26).

According to sources familiar with the matter, prosecutors have been questioning witnesses in front of a grand jury about conversations with Trump, his lawyers and his inner circle who sought to substitute Trump supporters for certified electors from some states Joe Biden won.

Days before, during the Jan. 6 insurrection hearings, it was revealed via outtake footage that Trump refused to say the election was over in his speech. “I don’t want to say the election is over.
