Donald Trump is already attacking the LGBT community on day one of his presidency. During his inauguration speech on Monday, the convicted felon declared that going forward in the United States, only two sexes will be recognized: male and female.

Shortly before Trump made the announcement, a White House official noted that the two sexes will be unchangeable and that federal employees will be instructed to use the terminology “sex” as opposed to “gender,” which can refer to identity, according to Reuters.

Additionally, US funds will no longer be used for gender-affirming procedures. The White House official noted: With this move, official policies recognizing “X” as a third gender, such as on passports, will end.

And with Trump’s order, requirements at government facilities and in workplaces to refer to transgender individuals as the gender matching their identity will be done away with.
