It has proudly sat at the number-one spot on the film charts this week. It stars Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley as Edith Swan and Irish immigrant Rose Gooding.
Edith accuses Rose of sending her countless disparaging, obscenity-filled letters, while uptight Edith insists Rose is guilty.
The film's synopsis reads: "When residents begin to receive wicked letters full of hilarious profanities, foul-mouthed Rose is charged with the crime.
