'Tricky transition' Harry and Meghan get sympathy from BBC's Gugu Mbatha Raw

The actress reacted positively to the idea of playing Meghan in a future season of The Crown. The Girl Before star said that she would be flattered by the idea but would have to take some time to think about it.

She said: “Oh my God, that’s hilarious. I’d be very flattered; I’d have to consider it.” The star is often suggested by fans to be someone who could play Meghan in the Netflix show.

For her services to drama, Gugu was awarded an MBE. She joked about the moment she received a letter with the royal stamp hood.

The TV star explained she quipped with her mum about receiving the letter, then it actually arrived. She said how she received a note with “some sort of royal stamp on it".
