Wythenshawe Hospital. Dr Neil Davidson has been described as an "amazing" doctor and "true gentleman," by those who knew and worked with him.He had worked at the south Manchester hospital in the cardiology department since 2002, and provided life-saving treatment to hundreds of patients.Dr Davidson leaves behind his wife Sue, and three daughters, whom he lived with in Lymm, Cheshire.Originally from Edinburgh, Dr Davidson studied medicine at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, where he was inspired to become a cardiologist.After graduating he worked as a junior doctor in Nottingham, before spending two years as a British Heart Foundation fellow at the University of Dundee.He then returned to the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle to complete.
