Multiple Metrolink lines have been suspended this morning as Storm Lilian wreaks havoc across the region. The storm is sweeping over the UK this morning, bringing strong winds and heavy rain.
Gusts of up to 60mph have been forecast in Greater Manchester. The region's transport infrastructure has already been impacted by the adverse weather conditions.
Services on almost every line on the Metrolink have been suspended this morning due to a number of fallen trees. As of 8am, the following lines are currently blocked with ALL stops impacted: The only services currently operating are as follows: Rochdale Town Centre to Victoria Station Manchester Airport to Sale Water Park Trafford Centre to Wharfside and Eccles to MediaCityUK.
Passengers can use Metrolink tickets on all available local commercial bus services.
