Three members of the same family who were the victims of a horrific triple killing in Dublin have been named and pictured. Eight-year-old twins Chelsea and Christy Cawley, as well as their sister Lisa Cash, 18, were allegedly stabbed to death by a man in his 20s man believed to be known to them at their home in the Tallaght area at around 12.30am on Sunday (September 4).

Witnesses described seeing the twins being thrown out of the top window of their home after they were injured during a heated confrontation with armed gardai [police]. READ MORE: Family find heartbreaking video after mum collapses and dies on her birthday The shocking incident was witnessed by a crowd that had gathered outside the house after being alerted by their 14-year-old brother, who is understood to have escaped before running for help, Dublin Live reports.

Gardai were able to access the house and arrested a man. Detectives are now set to launch a full murder investigation into the tragic deaths.

The 14-year-old boy who ran for help also had to be hospitalised – after suffering serious leg injuries. The children’s mother, who was not in the house at the time of the incident, later arrived at the scene.
