Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Perth dance stars on top of the world after clinching 24 trophies at world championships

Inspire Dance Studio is feeling on top of the world after returning from a prestigious event in Dublin with a huge haul of silverware and honours.No luck of the Irish was required at the World Lyrical Dance Federation Championships where the club stunningly earned 24 trophies and six world champion titles.

Eleven dancers made the trip across the water and represented themselves, the club and the city of Perth fantastically well.

The senior lyrical team of Ailsa McKenzie, Ellie Bennett, Georgia Wiggan, Lauren McHugh, Jessica Butler and Leah Blackburn claimed first.And James Doogan and Skye Moloney secured top spot in the lyrical duo category.Displaying talents further, James also came home with first place in the lyrical solo and the jazz solo.Skye celebrated a lyrical solo first too.The golden performances had continued when Larissa Wernsen took first in the acro solo.Making the finals in lyrical were Ailsa McKenzie who placed sixth, Georgia Wiggan who placed fifth and Larissa who placed sixth.In the jazz final, Georgia earned third place, Larissa fifth and Lauren McHugh sixth.Also competing brilliantly and coming home with trophies were Clara Robertson and Summer Moloney.Principal teacher at Inspire Dance Studio, Brooke Robertson, was incredibly proud of everyone involved. “The kids had been working five or six days a week towards the competition, on top of show rehearsals which was in June in Perth Concert Hall,” she explained to the PA. “It totally paid off, coming home with six world championship titles.

The atmosphere was electric, not just within our school but the support from other schools as well. Every child stayed to support each other.“The under-12s danced in the mornings and the over-12s in the afternoon,
