A body has been found in the search for a man reported as missing, police have confirmed. An inquest into the death of George Duggan is now due to be opened and adjourned by a coroner in Manchester city centre on Tuesday.
Police in Bury issued appeals for the public's help in early December, saying he was known to have mental health vulnerabilities.
According to the appeals, Mr Duggan was last seen at a Greater Manchester pub, The Lock Keeper in Radcliffe, near Bury, at around 11pm on Saturday, December 7.
Greater Manchester Police said at the time an 'extensive' search operation was underway to find him, with his description and a picture circulated on social media.
