Motherwell’s MSP has lamented the temporary closure of the town’s concert hall. Clare Adamson spoke of her dismay at Motherwell Concert Hall and Theatre shutting the doors until further notice due to the discovery of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC).

The MSP for Motherwell and Wishaw said: “Motherwell Concert Hall and Theatre is a beloved cultural landmark in my constituency. “I even had the privilege of performing on the stage when I was a little girl and generations of audiences have been delighted by the many shows put on at the concert hall – not least the acclaimed Christmas panto.“This announcement will be devastating for performers, staff, and theatre-lovers.
