The Only Way is Essex's Sam Faiers sought desperate measures to calm her baby down on a recent family holiday to Dubai. Born just under a year ago, second son Edward – Paul and Rosie are his older siblings – apparently did his best impression of a tornado on the plane, which had been delayed by 90 minutes.
His mum, 32, revealed on the latest episode of The Sam & Billie Show podcast that her tranquility was short-lived as an air hostess inadvertently woke Edward up by asking if they needed any drinks. "He's just started taking his first steps, so that was it," Sam told her sister Billie Shepherd. "The whole flight, all he wanted to do was be up walking about.
We did that for about an hour, up and down the aisles, walking, walking, walking. And then he just had a breakdown. I'd say out of the seven hours we were in the sky, five hours of them he was unsettled; crying, throwing himself around, shouting, stressed out." Sam, who's only just got home from a Paris getaway with Billie and mum Suzie too, went on to suggest that this was new territory for her as a mum, because Paul and Rosie had always felt comfortable on long journeys sat still.
Frustratingly, she couldn't even quench Edward's energy with a feed, as he kept biting her, leaving Sam at the end of her tether in pain and mentally all over the place.
