A Tory by-election candidate said parents who are out of work and are struggling to feed their kids should “f*** off”, in a post on Facebook.

Andrew Cooper is standing for the Conservatives in Tamworth on Thursday, October 19, after the previous MP had to quit in a sleaze scandal, reports the Daily Mirror.

In 2020, Mr Cooper posted on Facebook a diagram drawn in pen on a piece of paper and asked the question: “Can you feed your kids?” It said that those who have subscriptions for TV services such as Sky, have £30-a-month mobile phone contracts or get their nails done should “f*** off”.

The diagram suggested that parents who do none of these but do not work should also “f*** off”.If elected as MP, Mr Cooper will be responsible for helping families across the constituency who are struggling with the cost of living.
