A van driver has been found guilty of murdering 10 people and attempting to kill another 16. Alek Minassian, 28, told police he was motivated by a desire to punish society for his perceived status as an "incel" (involuntary celibate).
In 2018 the twisted murderer crashed a rental van into dozens of people in Toronto, Canada, because he believed women would not have sex with him.
It was the worst mass killing Canada had experienced for decades. Minassian's former classmates from school said he was a troubled pupil who would lick his hands and meow like a cat.
