The news was announced in an article published by AARP Magazine on Monday (1 February). “Life is a gift – even with Alzheimer’s,” the crooner, 94, wrote on Twitter while sharing a link to the feature. “Thank you to Susan and my family for their support, and AARP The Magazine for telling my story,”Despite his diagnosis in 2016, Bennett has completed work on his second Lady Gaga collaboration following their 2014 record Cheek to Cheek.
The follow-up is scheduled to be released this spring with the duo having recorded their jazz covers “in widely spaced sessions, between 2018 and early 2020”.
