11. Tom Cruise, who is currently filming “Mission: Impossible 8” in Europe and attended the opening ceremony in addition to women’s gymnastics and swimming competitions, will be one of the highlights of the closing ceremony, a source close to the Olympics organizing committee confirmed to Variety.
As reported by the French blog Sortir à Paris in May, Cruise was caught filming a scene while riding a motorcycle that sported a large flag.
He then departed from the Arc de Triomphe and drove along the iconic Champs-Élysées Avenue. The actor, who was inducted Knight of France’s prestigious Legion of Honor last week, will be handing over the flag to Los Angeles for the 2028 Games.
