Todd Cantwell has told Rangers fans his injury isn't all that straight forward as he begins his road to recovery. The attacking midfielder was ruled out with a knock as confirmed by Michael Beale due to a challenge in the final stages of the Old Firm derby defeat to Celtic, with Cantwell facing the prospect of missing four games out.

The Englishman won't make the weekend's trip to face St Johnstone and could miss the Light Blues' Europa League opener against La Liga outfit Real Betis.

It's a blow for Beale who looks to get over the pressure on his position, but will have to do so without the 25-year-old.Cantwell has started the majority of games for Rangers this campaign, and admits the knee injury he sustained is not as straight forward in terms of recovery.

He was pictured just prior to the international break wearing a leg brace in the airport, as he now joins fellow former Norwich man Kieran Dowell on the sidelines.
