Timo Werner has opened his Chelsea account less than four minutes into his debut following excellent work from Hakim Ziyech.
Two of the Blues' main summer signings are in action during their pre-season friendly against Brighton at the Amex. And they haven't taken look to team up and open the scoring.
Ziyech, who was signed from Ajax several months ago, spotted an excellent run made by Callum Hudson-Odoi. The academy graduate nodded down, albeit not cleanly, but the ball fell perfectly for Werner who calmly slotted home.
The German scored more than 30 times for RB Leipzig last term and has picked up where he left off. Werner is expected to be among Chelsea's leading marksman and has laid down an early marker.
