Time magazine picks incredible young girl for its first Kid of the Year cover

evoke.ieWe will never grow tired of seeing accomplished young women being celebrated on the international stage, from Greta Thunberg, and now Time magazine’s first-ever Kid of the Year, Gitanjali Rao.
The magazine’s much-lauded Person of the Year nod is one of the highest profile honours around, and dates back to 1927. Greta received that honour in 2019, and the list has included everyone from Angela Merkel and Barack Obama, to Donald Trump and the Pope.
This year, however, in advance of the 2020 Person of the Year announcement on December 10, Time decided to also shine a light on a ‘brilliant young scientist’ for its inaugural Kid of the Year award.
