TikTok star arrested over murder of therapist
ok.co.ukA US TikTok star has been arrested in connection to the murder of a Louisiana therapist.Terryon Ishmael Thomas, known online as Mr Prada, was taken into custody on Tuesday (1 October) in Dallas, Texas, after a manhunt, WVUE reported.The 20 year old, who has over 4 million followers on the social media platform, was named as a person of interest in the murder of therapist William Nicholas Abraham, 69, after his body was found wrapped in tarp and dumped on the side of a highway.
Authorities said he died as a result of blunt force trauma. It comes after a suspect was seen driving William's vehicle as he fled from police officers during a traffic stop.The driver allegedly refused to stop, instead backing into the police vehicle and fleeing on foot.
Police later released CCTV footage of the suspect in question, saying it "is the last person known to have been driving Abraham's vehicle".
They added: "The vehicle was located by Baton Rouge Police Monday afternoon.The driver of the vehicle, at the time, sped away from a traffic stop and ultimately ran away after crashing the car." William's body was found on Sunday morning (29 September) along Highway 51 in Tangipahoa.Terryon, who has not been charged, is now expected to go before a judge.
