'Tight' mum only giving kids supermarket yellow sticker items for Christmas says she 'doesn't feel bad'

A mum has found an unusual way to save money this Christmas. Self-described 'tight mum' Catherine Lofthouse has said that she will save hundreds of pounds through her gifting policy.

This hinges on only getting cut price presents for her children as well as any adults she will also send a gift to. Not only that, but the mum also plans to re-gift, or use freebies to keep her costs down over the festive season.

Catherine, 43, has previously made the news over her controversial ways to cut costs. This included telling her children Alex, 12, William, 10 and Robin, five, that Santa is not real as a way to avoid stocking fillers. This includes only decorating her house using things she picked up at charity shops. It's also not just the kids who will be receiving cut price presents either.
