Tiffany Paulsen Tapped To Adapt Christina Lauren’s Bestselling Rom-Com ‘In A Holidaze’ For Netflix & Alloy Entertainment
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: After making her feature directorial debut with Winter Spring Summer or Fall, a Paramount coming-of-age drama starring Jenna Ortega that world premiered at this year’s Tribeca Festival, veteran screenwriter Tiffany Paulsen has inked a deal to script In a Holidaze, a feature adaptation of the New York Times bestselling holiday rom-com novel of the same name, which is in early development at Netflix.
In the story billed as Love Actually meets Groundhog Day, it’s the most wonderful time of the year…but not for Maelyn Jones.
She’s living with her parents, hates her going-nowhere job, and has just made a romantic error of epic proportions. While on a Christmas trip at her family’s favorite snowy Utah cabin, she makes a plea to the universe to help her find happiness, resulting in a holiday time-loop from which she cannot escape.
The novel comes from Christina Lauren, the pen name for longtime writing partners Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings, who between them, have produced 20 New York Times bestsellers.
