A thug on three bail orders is behind bars for a brutal New Year’s Day attack on a man in Paisley.Michael Kerr, 22, punched, kicked and stabbed Andrew Michie in the town’s Glencoats Park on January 1.The 38-year-old victim’s injuries included him suffering a nasty 10-inch leg wound.
Kerr yesterday appeared in the dock at the High Court in Glasgow.He pleaded guilty to assaulting Mr Michie to his severe injury, permanent disfigurement, impairment and to the danger of his life.It emerged Kerr flouted three separate bail orders imposed at Paisley Sheriff Court between January and November 2022.
He was yesterday remanded in custody and will be sentenced next month.The court heard how Kerr and Mr Michie were known to each other.
