Three new deputy lieutenants for Lanarkshire

A charity chief executive, a retired GP and an experienced finance professional and youth work volunteer have all been appointed as new deputy lieutenants of Lanarkshire.

Newly-appointed Angela Bonomy, William Morrison Young and Alastair Peat all have the seal of royal approval and will be taking up roles supporting lord lieutenant Lady Susan Haughey, the King’s representative in the county.

They join a team of 22 other depute lieutenants who assist Lady Haughey with duties including royal visits, civic and business functions and honouring residents’ special birthdays and anniversaries.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
