A memorial garden honouring Coatbridge schoolgirl Moira Anderson has been unveiled at the headquarters of the charity bearing her name.

A Lanarkshire church is celebrating its centuries of history – stretching from a 15th-century royal wedding to its current “invaluable” food larder which has been praised at Holyrood – as it marks its 625th anniversary.

A charity chief executive, a retired GP and an experienced finance professional and youth work volunteer have all been appointed as new deputy lieutenants of Lanarkshire.
