Three men have been arrested after an assault on Deansgate in the early hours of this morning (May 3). One man was rushed to hospital with injuries.
Deansgate, between St John Street and Quay Street in Manchester City Centre, has been taped off by police since this time with enquiries still ongoing.
Police say they were called to reports of an assault around 3.45am. Three men have since been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault, causing grievous bodily harm with intent. The section of the road between St John Street and Quay Street has remained taped off this morning. Travellers were asked to plan their journey ahead due to the closure, but traffic in the surrounding area has not been too badly affected.
