Three people have been treated by paramedics after a fire broke out at a flat in Rochdale. Crews raced to the property on Manchester Road after the blaze took hold shortly after 8.30pm this evening.
Three fire engines attended and firefighters donned breathing apparatus as they tackled the flames. Three people were extricated and have been handed over to the care of the ambulance service, who also attended.

A spokesperson for GMFRS said: “At approximately 8.35pm on Friday 25 August, three fire engines from Bury, Whitefield and Broughton were called to a reports of a fire on Manchester Road in Rochdale. “The fire involved a ground floor flat.
