The sounds and memories of the 80s return at Rewind Festival this weekend.Thousands of revellers from near and far will descend on the grounds of Scone Palace to take a trip down memory lane at the popular music festival.Headlining on Saturday night - and making his debut - will be Erasure’s Andy Bell.Erasure have sold over 25 million albums and achieved five consecutive number ones on the UK album chart.
Hit singles included “A Little Respect”, “Sometimes” and “Always”.Also making their inaugural Rewind appearance and headlining on the Sunday night is Squeeze.Squeeze had top 10 hits with singles ‘Cool for Cats’ ‘Up the Junction’ and ‘Labelled with Love.’Other artists include Tony Hadley, UB40, Marc Almond, Go West, ABC, Midge Ure, Nik Kershaw, Martin Kemp, Toyah, Nick Heyward, Soul II Soul, and many more.The Pink Flamingo Club, meanwhile, will once again be in the 80s-themed nightclub Big Top, with headline DJs spinning all-time favourite 80s tunes to keep the party atmosphere going well into the night.Disco Inferno will open up every day as well as silent discos, funfair rides and kid-zone with entertainment for the ‘little Rewinders’.Rewind are “delighted” that Greatest Hits Radio will once again be the official radio partner.Jenny Powell of Greatest Hits Radio said: “I had an absolute blast at Rewind last year and it was great to be able to share all the best bits of this incredible festival with Greatest Hits Radio listeners.“I know they’ll be as excited as I am to find out which 80s superstars are hitting the stage for this year’s shows.
