Around 60,000 households in Yorkshire will receive discounts on their water bills this year as part of Yorkshire Water's WaterSupport social tariff.

This comes as the average water bill in the region is set to rise by £135 (28.9%) in 2025/26, equivalent to around £11 per month.

Eligible customers can also benefit from the company's other support schemes, including Water Sure, which caps bills for those claiming income-based benefits and needing to use extra water.

Additionally, Yorkshire Water offers debt repayment schemes such as Resolve, Community Trust, and Direct Support, which will reduce bills by over £375 million and help clear debts between 2025 and 2030.
