Thomas Tuchel to Manchester United claim emerges with board ‘convinced’ amid Erik ten Hag pressure

Bayern Munich believe Thomas Tuchel let negotiations over a stay in Bavaria collapse because he has the Manchester United job lined up, it is claimed.

The Bundesliga club announced in February that Tuchel would depart the Allianz Arena amid a campaign which saw them surrender the German top-flight title to Bayer Leverkusen.

Negioataions then began earlier in May over a possible stay before the 50-year-old confirmed he would definitely leave. Tuchel has been one of several managers linked with the United job amid pressure on current boss Erik ten Hag.
