Thomas Tuchel has "no doubts" Kai Havertz's quality will shine through despite his challenging start to life at Chelsea. Havertz joined the Blues from Bayer Leverkusen last summer for a fee of £72million after months of speculation over his future.

The 21-year-old enjoyed an excellent final season in the Bundesliga, scoring or assisting 18 goals, and was tipped for great things.

But his first campaign with the Blues has not go to plan so far and he has scored just one goal in the Premier League. In a bid to help Havertz find his form, Stamford Bridge chiefs were keen to appoint a German manager after sacking Frank Lampard in January.
