Thomas Tuchel insists it is not his job to manage the international ambitions of his Chelsea stars as he continues to stamp his authority at Stamford Bridge.
The German opted to leave Tammy Abraham out of the matchday squad last weekend. That could hamper any Euro 2020 hopes the striker may have as he sees his game time cut.
Chelsea's squad is full of internationals, many of whom will be eyeing European glory with their countries this summer. But Tuchel has no interest is putting those aspirations before his own goals.
He said: "I don’t want to be influenced by that. I know well that the players have personal interests and this is OK. "I hope they fight for their personal interests.
