After Ben Shephard made a joke about Cat Deeley's husband Patrick Kielty on This Morning, she quickly hit back with a remark in his defence.The banter between the co-hosts broke out on Monday, 24 June as they spoke about the world's ugliest dog.The presenters sat around the table discussing the world's ugliest dog with Cat pointing out: "I also quite like an underdog, I quite like a dog with like one day or three legs." As they giggled, Ben quickly added: "You're drawn to them." Cat candidly replied: "Yeah I do", which led Ben to brutally say: "So that's why you married Paddy?" Luckily in response, Cat laughed, while other This Morning stars looked on in disbelief at the remark made by Ben.

One said: "Ouch" as Ben giggled and Cat turned to her co-host with a response.Taking the comment on the chin, she said: "Oh my goodness", before adding: "You know he's poorly at the moment so he can't sort you out." This isn't the first time the presenters have made candid remarks about each other's marriages.

Earlier this year, the shoe was on the foot when Cat playfully warned Ben after he shared a rare glimpse into his marriage with a sweet Instagram post about his wife, Annie Shephard.
