He is currently the co-presenter of This Morning (2002–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2014, 2018–present) alongside Holly Willoughby. His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

Cat Deeley sung the praises of Holly Willoughby as she shared the behind-the-scenes support she received after stepping into her shoes as a lead presenter on This Morning, alongside Ben Shephard.

Following Holly's emotional exit from the show in October last year, when she cited personal reasons and a desire to focus on her family, and in the midst of scary kidnap threats, Cat says Holly still found a moment to reach out to her.

In an interview with the Sunday Times, Cat revealed how Holly's thoughtful gestures warmed her heart. Discussing a symbolic passing of the This Morning baton, Cat said: "Holly sent me a beautiful bunch of flowers and a handwritten card.

It was a really classy move, it really touched me." Cat, who rose to fame alongside Holly during their CD:UK days, also spoke about a future catch-up with the mum of three, who recently travelled to Costa Rica to film a new Netflix show, Bear Hunt with Bear Grylls, and put to bed any talk of a so-called feud between the two women. "At some stage, once the dust settles, I'm sure we will get together," Cat said. "People always talk about women being pitted against other women, but actually it's just not true."
