with the memorial." The nation then observed a poignant silence at 11am to honour the sacrifices and service of the Armed Forces, as well as to pay homage to those who have fallen.

ITV marked the solemn occasion with This Morning broadcasting live from various memorial services across Cardiff, Edinburgh, Belfast, and Westminster Abbey.

The programme also featured the Cenotaph where servicemen and women continued their tributes in silence. When the cameras returned to the studio, Cat said: "Incredibly moving scenes there, you're watching This Morning on ITV1."
