This is the man charged with killing a mum by dangerous driving following a collision on the M66. Adil Iqbal, 22, appeared in the dock at Manchester Magistrates’ Court this afternoon (May 15) wearing a grey tracksuit.
He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address. Mr Iqbal, of Accrington, is charged with one offence of causing death by dangerous driving and two offences of causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a collision on Saturday (May 13). Frankie's nephew Tobias, four, was also a passenger, the M.E.N. previously reported. At this afternoon’s hearing (May 15), prosecutor Robin Lynch confirmed: "The driver is now deceased.
There were three young children in the vehicle, two of those young children are in an induced coma." No pleas were entered at this stage.
