A headteacher and a senior councillor have repeated their appeals to parents not to park on newly-painted double yellow lines and zig-zags near a Salford primary school.
Several cars were seen flouting the new regulations introduced to boost road safety outside Irlam Primary School on Elsinore Avenue.
Last week, two pupils, Flo and Tallulah, won a competition run within the school to design a sign which will deliver the message “Think before you park: you could endanger a child’s life” to parents picking up their children from school.
The posters have been placed on the pavement outside the school. But despite this, at least four cars were seen parking on double yellows when we visited this week.
