A violent 'large scale fight' involving 10 people left six men in hospital, police have revealed. Some of those involved were armed with weapons including machetes and metal bars.
The disturbance broke out in broad daylight at lunchtime on Great Ducie Street in Cheetham Hill, just outside the city centre.
A witness told the Manchester Evening News a gang of men stormed a building on the road and attacked people inside before the violence spilled out onto the street. "There were five guys, one with a machete and the other one had a baseball bat.
